Family life is like a great novel —
the story is so engrossing
that the chapters fly by.

Let's take a moment to illustrate this chapter with honest, fun, and artful images that elevate
the ordinary days to the beautiful, extraordinary story they are.

Photographs help us stop time.

This is it - the time that everyone tells you flies by, the daily moments that are cherished but fleeting, the stories you want to document before they are gone. The time when they fit snugly and lightly on your hip; when they still have those little dimples on their small hands; or when they still want to play catch with you in the yard.

In a world full of pressing deadlines, distracting notifications and never-ending to-do lists, let’s take a moment to stop and celebrate what you have, what you’ve worked so hard for, and to document the ordinary moments that make up your extraordinary life.

Capturing these Moments Can Be EASY—AND EVEN FUN!

I’ve been working with families to capture the beauty, heart, and chaos of their lives since 2013. I’ve refined my process over the years to be as streamlined, natural, and fun as possible. Connection is the heart of my work. Together, we’ll create a space where you and your loved ones feel comfortable and relaxed just being yourselves in this chapter of your lives.

Prior to your session, I’ll lead you through my process step by step, ensuring that we create the beautiful images you’ve dreamed of, no matter your comfort level in front of the camera.

Doing a family photoshoot with two toddlers sounded like an impossible task but somehow Lara was able to capture our distinct personalities so perfectly in a short amount of time! She is a true light whisperer, each photo speaks a thousand soft and intimate words. I was truly stunned by her work and will cherish these memories forever!

About Lara

I’m a lifestyle photographer based in the Teton Mountains, capturing the unscripted, the heartfelt, and the beautifully imperfect moments that make life real. With a background as a field biologist and educator, I bring adaptability and a keen eye for the unexpected to every session.

When I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me adventuring with my family, tending to my garden, enjoying good comedy, or immersing myself in music.

I've learned that it's the photos I don't take that I regret the most. Let me help you pause time and preserve the mundane, magical, and meaningful moments of your life.

We were impressed with how quickly she worked (a bonus with young children), yet how intimate and comfortable the overall experience felt; we never felt rushed. A great balance. When we saw the finished photos we were so incredibly happy: the expression and emotion she captured is evident in the photographs.

What do you want to remember most?

If you were to ask me to define a photograph in a few words,
I would say it is “a fossil of light and time.
